The name “Sundowners", harks back to Britain’s colonial past, but don’t let that put you off! It is the collective name for a range of long cool drinks typically served at sunset, marking that point between the end of a long hot day and sitting down to formal dinner. It reminds me of my folks who used to drink a whiskey and soda (from a soda syphon – remember? ) and a glass of sherry before supper. Different times!
