These spiced sweet buns are an Easter favourite and have been given the Primal Alternative gluten and grain-free makeover with our delicious bake your own packet mix option! Here is the perfect whipped butter topping to compliment the fragrant smell of toasted cinnamon and spices hot from the oven!
110g of organic grass fed butter
80g Local honey
Zest of 1 organic lemon
Chop the butter into cubes and drop into a bowl of lukewarm water.
Leave to warm for at least five minutes until really soft
Drain off the water and tip the butter, honey and lemon zest into a large bowl
Use a wooden spoon to beat until all is combined and the butter is creamy.
Use straight away or put into a ramekin and chill til needed
Toast your hot cross buns and spread liberally to enjoy!
